Mission
Real net price versus advertised sticker price.
Published tuition is the number a college leads with. Net price — what a family pays after grants and scholarships — is the number that decides whether an offer is affordable. We put both side by side, for every institution where the public record supports it.
Public data, not vibes
Every cost, acceptance rate and outcome figure traces back to a public dataset — IPEDS, the U.S. College Scorecard or Wikidata — never to an internal score we invented.

Founder-led
The catalogue, data pipeline and editorial standards are maintained by the founder, working in public: data corrections ship as they are verified, and records that fail verification are removed rather than quietly patched. When the team grows, this section will name real people with real roles — not before.
Data methodology
How the numbers get here.
We currently publish 11,030 institutions across roughly 100 countries. Every record is assembled from public datasets and cross-verified before it appears in search — fabricated or placeholder data is explicitly disallowed on the platform.

- Cross-verified before publishing. An institution needs a resolvable official domain and a matching public-source record before it enters the catalogue.
- Estimates are labelled. Where a price is modelled rather than reported, the interface says so, and those records are excluded from cost-based filtering and "cheapest" sorting.
- Missing is missing. Unknown figures render as N/A. We never interpolate a plausible-looking tuition, acceptance rate or graduation rate.
- Records get removed. Entries that fail a later audit are deleted from the catalogue and their URLs retired, not left online as filler.
- Photography is provenance-tracked. Campus images come from Wikimedia Commons or the institution itself; anything unverified is shown as the official logo instead of a stand-in photo.
