Editorial Standards
How we select sources, present missing information and separate evidence from promotion.
Sources and attribution
Institution records use public sources including IPEDS, the U.S. College Scorecard and Wikidata/Wikimedia Commons, with official institutional sources where available. Our methodology guide explains the sources and limitations. Institution names and reported values remain as supplied by those records.
Missing data and corrections
We label missing information rather than invent values. Completeness labels measure available fields, not educational quality. Costs and admissions policies change; verify current information on official sites. Send a correction through our About page with the institution, field and authoritative source. We review evidence before changing a record.
Independence and featured institutions
Schools do not pay for search placement. Featured institutions are an editorial sample relevant to families in the United States and Latin America, requiring reported tuition and enrollment plus an image or logo. The order is not a ranking or endorsement. Eligibility for this sample does not mean every field in a profile is reported.
Guides and review
Guides are educational resources, not individualized legal, financial or admissions advice. Date-sensitive aid information must be checked against official sources. Translations aim to preserve the meaning, figures and limitations of the English version. We do not claim a review date or update schedule unless it is documented.
